Border Territory
Mystical poem written May 19, 2026.
Some have a talent, For being alone, While others thrive, In the maddening crowd But the city dove, Pecking for food, Must live with others, Or starve I am bound and spoken for, Filled with diverse, And tortured thoughts, Silent even in my speech Here in the border territory, Between ape and god, I find myself strange, And lonely I scratched messages to, My future self, In the pink paint, Of hospital walls Prophecies of a life, That never happened, Promises of vengeance, That I never sought But I can no longer, Decipher their meaning, The person who wrote them, Is dead
